Help keep our heritage alive

Ensure the Stories of Australia's Droving Past Continue to Inspire Future Generations

The Drovers Camp is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to preserving Australia's droving heritage, maintaining The Droving Heritage Centre, hosting events, and educating future generations. We rely heavily on our volunteers and the support of donors, sponsors, and supporters to keep this history alive.

Here's what our volunteers say...

“Writing project descriptions and grant applications for The Drovers Camp has been genuinely rewarding. It’s a special place with timeless stories, and contributing to its future feels meaningful. Even though our volunteer community is spread across the country, it still feels like one big friendship circle — all connected by a shared love of droving heritage.”

"I love working for The Drovers Camp. It’s a fascinating place and a great, well-led team. We work hard to keep the legends and history of the drovers and our museum alive. I’ve been involved in creating the notes for the museum tour, getting the wonderful murals done, and now on a project to allow visitors to hear some of the ABC’s recordings of interviews with the old drovers."
